Post #6 The United States Capital Building

While exploring the capitol virtually I noticed that there are many murals, paintings, and portraits. All of these have different important historical backgrounds that represent and define the democracy of the United States. The ones that interested me where the George Washington Portrat, the signing of the Constitution, and the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The reason why I chose to George Washington portrait was because he was our nation's first president and he is what started and influenced our government from this day till.

Another one that interested me was the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I believe it is important to have it in the capital because it was a document that marked the start of our nation.

Finally, the last piece that interested me the most was the signing of the Constitution. The Constitution gives the government power to keep everything in order, but it also keeps the government from have to much power over the people.
